This reader is intended to be used in conjunction with Beginning Colloquial Sinhala: An Introductory Sinhala Curriculum, by Theresa McGarry and Liyanage Amarakeerthi. It follows units 6 to 40 of the McGarry/Amarakeerthi textbook with readings appropriate to the level of the student as s/he progresses. The readings include a vocabulary list and everything but the translations of the vocabulary list are written in Sinhala script. It may also be used separately as a Sinhala reader by students learning Sinhala as a second language.
